Five Years of Mastermelt Germany – A Milestone in a Special Year!

This year, Mastermelt celebrates 40 years of innovation in precious metal recovery – and we also look back on five successful years of Mastermelt Germany.

Since our founding in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, we have:
✅ Met and exceeded strict regulatory and environmental requirements to operate a PGM recycling facility.
✅ Built long-term, trusted customer relationships across Europe – partnering with leading companies from various industries.
✅ Taken on the Lead Plant responsibility for successfully scaling the patented MEACycle process to series production for fuel cells – from the development stage to industrial application.
✅ Developed new processes for recovering homogeneous catalysts, enabling the recycling of raw materials previously considered too complex for recycling.
✅ Optimised process stability by introducing intelligent process control tools along the entire value chain for greater efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
✅ Grown our team from one person to over 20 employees, with Michael Zendel serving as Managing Director from day one.
